Have you tried appliqué and been unhappy with the results? Hate templates and fussy stuff, but love the look of appliqué? Looking for a portable project? Come and try your hand at the back basting method, which makes it easy. Margie has been using this method for over two decades. She will share the basting method as well as tips on the tricky bits of hand appliqué.
Also, stop by at our Open House on Saturday November 29th around 12 and 12:30 to see a demo along with the class sample and other (show and tells) made with the Back Basting method.
Supply list:
*Fabric scraps with matching (regular sewing) thread
*Light colored hand quilting thread if you have it
*Pins, a needle threader if needed
*Small sharp scissors.
*Margie will provide 10 x 10" light-colored backgrounds marked and ready to stitch, as well as needles and extras supplies.
